Bookstore and Chocolate Crawl

Bookstore and Chocolate Crawl Start Date: Saturday 3/15/2025 — End Date: Saturday 3/15/2025 Admission:Free We're having another emergency Bookstore and Chocolate Crawl. As usual, we'll visit local bookstores and eat as much chocolate as we can possibly cram in our mouths in between stores. <3 Books Inc., a local chain that has been a vitally important part of the cultural life of the Bay Area, has declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy. So it's time to show them some love by visiting their Laurel Village store on California St. We'll begin at 1 PM at Green Apple Books on Clement Street, which is a wonderful place to browse. Then we'll start wandering in a few waves over to Books Inc. on California, arriving there around 2 PM (or so). We'll be having some sort of party TBA at Books Inc., probably involving performances of some kind. Stay tuned! And while we're at Books Inc., we can also duck next door to SusieCakes, to get ourselves some utterly wonderful cupcakes. No matter what, please support these bookstores and all other indies during what's sure to be a challenging time for book-lovers and everyone else. <3 Location: 6426 BENVENUE AVE Oakland Contact: Bookstore & Chocolate Crawl jacqueline.risley@gmail.com URL: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/its-another-emergency-bookstore-and-chocolate-crawl-tickets-12239225583
